Paperworld, Remanexpo, Managed Print Services, and Friends

Industry events are a bit of a mixed bag these days; if you don’t attend you’ll most likely miss a fantastic networking opportunity, the latest trends, new faces in the industry. If you do attend, you might find yourself in an unexpected situation of seeing more of what you didn’t expect, fewer visitors promenading up and down the exhibition hall, much better network opportunities, interesting new connections, global updates on where the office imaging industry might be heading.

Paperworld/Remanexpo January 30 to February 02, 2020, was such an event. We, Phil Madders and Josh Phillips headed over to Frankfurt, Germany, to attend the conference at the Katun booth.

More than 1500 exhibitors from roughly 70 countries around the world attracted over 30,000 visitors from around 140 countries; just enough for us to enjoy the buzzing crowd.

Attending a conference with a partner like Katun is not just a great pleasure for us, it also gives us the perfect platform to present our solutions and services for office print performance monitoring, and to demonstrate how hardware, software, supplies, and services form the perfect, future-proof Managed Print Services synergy for a happy, successful customer, and even happier and more successful dealerships.

And, of course, Paperworld/Remanexpo is also a great platform to catch up with partners, current customers, and friendly competitors. It provided useful insights into the direction of the industry and where businesses are allocating their resources to adapt to the changing market.

Phil Madders, Managing Director, PAE: The conversations were all about consolidation in the channel, innovation in terms of new commercial models for established technologies like HP’s HAAS program and new versions, no eureka moments but it was a very productive time.
